Social science exhibition Our school students participated in SSE which was held on 7th & 8th October 2009 in K.V jalahalli no.2.Unfortunately,none of our models were selected but luckily we got first prize in group song cum dance.The Regional meet was held on 11th October.Assistant Commissioner K.V.S Bangalore Region appreciated our school’s performance.Sadly,we couldn’t make it to the Nationals.It is a great achievement that our school atleast went up to the Regional level. Integrity Club This club has been formed by the students of Class 11th & 12th.Every week, each class has to display articles related to topics like Integrity,Honesty,Responsibility,Simplicity,Respect,Love,Unity,Secularism,Patriotism,Compassion,Non violence& Tolerance. Aim:It improves reading skills,encourages reading of newspapers, generates team spirit,healthy competition &developes a sense of unity amongst students.Most importantly it inculates values. News corner This is a notice board where the daily news headlines are displayed along with the daily children’s supplements like “Know your English”, “Open Sesame”,”Young World”,etc. Aim: To improve vocabulary & reading habits amongst children. CCA Board This is a notice board where the CCA events are displayed along with the group points of each Houses which are updated weekly.Photos of the recent CCA events are also displayed which are changed regularly. Hindi saptah activities Hindi debate,extempore,shabdantakshari for primary students,advertising competition,etc were held during the Hindi saptah. Awareness Programmes Many awareness programmes on Cancer,AIDS,Tuberculosis,Helpage India,Tips to deal with different types of fires,Mockdrill of fire management,etc.. are held regularly in school.People from various organizations come to educate the children. Aim: Children will be well equipped to face different hazards in life.They will also be aware of different types of diseases. |
